North Jakarta Mayor Launches Mobile Waste ATM Car Service

North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim officially launched Mobile Waste ATM Car as new innovation to overcome waste problem through early waste sorting.

In order to use the service you only need to have DKI Bank account

This Mobile Waste ATM service is connected with Mountrash Waste Bank Center on Jalan Rusun Kebersihan, RT 12/03, Semper Barat Urban Village, Cilincing Sub-district.

In order to be customer of Mobile Waste ATM Car, residents only need to download MountCare application and Mountrash application. In order to use the service, they need to scan the barcode on Mobile Waste ATM Car or available trash cans. Then, scan the product packaging before putting the trash into trash cans.

"Later on, the nominal savings will automatically be listed in the application according to the amount of waste saved. The process is very easy and fast, you don't have to go to waste bank because now we have mobile waste ATM car that will pick up resident's sorted waste. In order to use the service you only need to have DKI Bank account," he explained, Friday (10/1).

North Jakarta Environment (LH) Agency, Achmad Hariadi mentioned, there are only six cars that serve as Mobile Waste ATM Car, where each vehicle will serve one sub-district.

"For now, we only accept plastic bottles," he added.

Meanwhile, Mountrash Waste Bank Center Director, Gideon Widjaya Ketaren conveyed his gratitude to North Jakarta Government for entrusting waste bank management through the use of information technology.

"Hopefully this service can help reduce waste and attract more people to sort their waste to get additional income," he said.
